Next week, we will celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week! At ICD, our teachers and staff are always blessed with thoughtful letters, cards, and gifts during this time, which makes each of us feel truly valued and supported. While these gestures mean so much, one of the most powerful ways you can show your appreciation as a parent is by speaking positively about your child’s teacher, classroom experiences, and the school community—especially when your child is listening. This reinforces to your child that you value their teacher’s efforts and see yourself as a partner in their education. We encourage you not to reserve this positivity just for Teacher Appreciation Week, but to make it a regular part of your conversations. By doing so, your child will learn to express the same appreciation throughout the school year.
Mark your calendars for some VERY important dates:
- May 4 - All 4 year old preschool students are invited to join us at 10:15 Mass where they will receive a special blessing and sing Immaculate Mary.
- May 5 - Mass for our 4 year old students. This will be held in the chapel at 9:30. All are welcome!
- May 15 - End of the year Preschool Program for all 4 year old preschool students (5:30 start for MWF classes and 7:00 start for M-F classes)
- May 14- Last Day of School for M/W/F students
- May 15- Last Day of School for T/Th and M-F students
