Key Clarifications for Contributing Family Tuition & FAQ’s

Who qualifies as a Contributing Family?

Families who donate at least the annual minimum amount to the Sunday General Offertory—via envelopes or electronic giving—between January 1 and December 31 of the calendar year qualify for the contributing family tuition rate for the following school year.

What types of donations count?

Only Sunday General Offertory contributions apply toward the $278 requirement. Donations to special collections—such as SVDP, the Lenten Project, feast days, Good Friday, and Christmas—do not count towards the minimum contribution.

When is the donation deadline?

  • To ensure timely credits, all check-based offertory donations must be postmarked or delivered by December 15 of the calendar year. Electronic donations via, Faith Direct are accepted through December 31.

  • Checks received after December 15 will count toward the next calendar year, potentially affecting your tuition status.

Are automatic electronic donations recommended?

Yes—Faith Direct is highly recommended to ensure your contributions count without last-minute delays.

What if we’re registered at another Catholic parish? You may still qualify by either:

  • Donating the minimum directly to Immaculate Conception of Dardenne (ICD) Parish

  • Arranging for your home parish to donate the minimum on your behalf to ICD Parish.

What about non-Catholic families?

Non-Catholic families are eligible for the contributing family tuition rate by donating at least $278 to ICD Parish’s Sunday General Offertory.

What if a Catholic family can’t afford to give $278?

Catholic families facing financial hardship are encouraged to contact Msgr. Ted Wojicicki to discuss their situation and receive further guidance.

Families New to ICD School

Families of students entering ICD School for the first time will initially be considered “contributing families.” This would apply to families with the oldest or only child entering Kindergarten or those who transfer into ICD School in grades 1st through 8th.

Within this first year of enrollment at ICD school, we ask that these families register with the parish, receive church envelopes or enroll in electronic giving, and begin contributing regularly and consistently with contributions totaling the minimum amount per calendar year to the parish offertory. To continue receiving subsidized tuition for the second year of enrollment, parish offertory contributions will need to total the minimum amount as set by the pastor by December 31. If contributions do not meet the minimum offertory amount by December 31, families in their first year of enrollment will be considered "non-contributing" at the time of registration for their second year of enrollment.
