Welcome to Mrs. Sanborn’s 4th Grade (4C)
Hi, my name is Angel Sanborn and this is my 6th year teaching and my 2nd year at ICD. I am married to my wonderful husband, Keka, and we have two kids, a boy and a girl, Keka (14) and Anela (8). We have been parishioners here at ICD for over sixteen years but were living in Hawaii temporarily for eight years until May of 2018. I graduated from Truman State University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Biology and from Washington University in 2000 with a Master's in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Genetics. I spent 13 years as a molecular biologist at Monsanto before following my passion for teaching. I will be graduating from Lindenwood University with a Master's in Education next May 2020. In my spare time, I love reading and spending time with my family watching their football, cheerleading, dance and baseball.
In 4th grade, we focus on virtues of responsibility, hard work, respect, honesty, and reverence. I believe that each classroom's environment is a source for each child to build positive relationships with each other and develop their moral character. A positive, interactive, hands-on learning environment is my goal for each child. Just as all children are unique children of God, they all have unique ways of learning. I strive to reach each student in the way they learn best and can be the most successful.
