Welcome to 7th & 8th grade Math

Welcome. My name is Sarah Giannotti. I grew up in Chesterfield and attended Incarnate Word Elementary and then St. Joseph's Academy. I attended Truman University and UMSL where I earned my elementary degree. I also have my Masters in Education from Lindenwood. My career began in the Ladue School District and continued in Rockwood, at LaSalle Springs Middle School. My husband and I married in 1996, and we have been parishioners since then. We have three children, all of whom attended ICD. Our daughter is heading back to Truman this year, our oldest son is at CBC, and our youngest son will be in 8th grade this year. I began teaching at ICD in 2011 after time at home with my children and love teaching math here. I can't imagine teaching anywhere else.

I believe that a strong foundation in our concepts will lead to success in high school and beyond. In 7th and 8th grade math, persistence and hard work are necessary for success. It is so important for the kids to learn not to give up as they work towards solutions. Having the concept "click" is so rewarding for my students. I also believe that we must all work together to provide an environment conducive to learning and success. When we truly work as one community everyone accomplishes their goals.
