ICD Parish Preschool & Mrs. Bethany Beumer

Welcome to 2025! We are thrilled to have all of our preschoolers back in the building, sharing stories about the fun they had over Christmas break and the exciting days spent in the snow!

Last Friday, we celebrated Mass with our 4-year-old preschoolers. The preschool Mass was a wonderful reflection of the great community we are all a part of here at ICD. We want to extend a special thank you to all the parents and grandparents who joined us to celebrate!

Our preschoolers did an amazing job participating in Mass, especially with Mrs. Schroeder leading the singing. It was a joyful experience for everyone involved!

Taking young children to Mass can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, attending regularly is one of the best ways to help them adjust to church and learn about the Mass. It's important to remember that it may not always go perfectly. You might find yourself sitting in the back, giving them a treat after Mass, or practicing how we behave during the service. All of this is perfectly fine!

With patience and consistency, children will grow more comfortable and understand the significance of the Mass. The key is to bring your children to Mass as often as possible and to help them understand what is happening by explaining the different parts of the service and showing them what is expected.

Remember, this journey is a marathon, not a sprint. With time and patience, your children will learn to love and appreciate the beauty of the Mass. Your efforts will be well worth it!

BRRRRRR…….It’s cold outside! Please send your child to school with the appropriate cold weather gear each day. We will be outside unless it is raining or the temperatures are below 20 degrees.

Please plan to join us on Sunday, January 29th for ICD’S Open House. School will be open from 9:30-12:00: see your child’s classroom, have a donut after Mass, and bring a friend or family who may be interested in joining the ICD school community!
