SCRIP SCOOP - Welcome to ICD SCRIP

The SCRIP program is a simple and effective way for each ICD family to generate revenue for our school without spending any additional money. The beauty of SCRIP is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with SCRIP at the stores that participate in the SCRIP program! SCRIP can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline, vacations, and even dining out. There are literally hundreds of vendors who participate in the SCRIP program.

The Immaculate Conception Home and School Organization is offering the ICD SCRIP Program again this year as a means for each family to generate their required $300 HSO obligation. Although the Immaculate Conception Home and School Organization can no longer offer the Choice Earning Program, it is extremely important that each family strive to meet and exceed their $300 obligation. The profit from the sale of SCRIP helps keep the tuition increase to a minimum each year and it allows the HSO to purchase much needed items not funded by the school’s budget.

The success of the SCRIP program depends on the participation of each family. The more families involved in purchasing SCRIP, the more money we can make for our school. If each ICD family uses SCRIP for their purchases, we have the potential to make as much as $200,000 profit per year for our school.

REMEMBER, THE MONEY RAISED BY THE SCRIP PROGRAM DIRECTLY BENEFITS OUR CHILDREN.

When can I buy SCRIP? We try to make it as convenient as possible for you to buy SCRIP. SCRIP can be purchased on the weekends at all Masses except on Sunday at 6 pm Mass. During the school year you may purchase SCRIP through School Express (see attached schedule). The schedule will be posted above the SCRIP box located in the school lobby. When you purchase through School Express, any on-hand vendors ordered by 9:30 am of that day will be available for pickup after school the same day or the following morning. Please keep in mind that we only order from our wholesale vendor, Great Lakes Scrip (GLS), once a week on Monday morning. If you order a gift card that is not in our on-hand inventory or is out of stock, we will have to order it from GLS. It will be available for pick-up the following week.

How can I contact someone at the ICD Scrip Program? The best way to contact the SCRIP coordinator is to use email at scrip@icdschool.org. You may also call the SCRIP hotline at 636.561.4450 ext. 155. This hotline is checked daily and someone will return your call. Please refer to our school website www.icdschool.org and click on the scrip button for more information and details about ordering timelines, order forms, and general information.

Are Volunteers Needed? Yes, we are always in need of volunteers. Please consider joining a great group of volunteers and help raise money for your school. To volunteer, please fill out the scrip form that is included with the volunteer forms in the back to school packet!

We have included a SCRIP order form for you with this packet of information. If you have not done so in the past, please consider purchasing SCRIP….it can help you to meet some of your school financial obligations and earn funds for the school and parish. Last year SCRIP generated almost $100,000 for the school and parish.

Email Orders Available: We will once again be offering Scrip email ordering for you convenience. Place your email order to scrip@icdschool.org by 10:00am on Tuesday or Thursday morning and pick it up the same day. We will fill the order and release it when we receive your payment. Orders not picked up by Friday morning, will be returned to stock.

Important Facts About SCRIP:
• Any order placed in the SCRIP box after 9:30am on Thursday will not be received until the following Tuesday for processing. School express ordering is totally separate from Scrip sold during MASS.
• Any item that was “on order,” rather it was ordered during school express or at Mass, may be picked up during School Express pickup times or at MASS times. There is no separation for pickup of “on order” items. All orders are kept together once received from GLS.
• Tuesday is the first day of the scrip week and Sunday is the last day of the Scrip week, therefore if you order an “on order” item on Tuesday, it isn’t ordered until the following Monday with pick up that Thursday. So an item ordered on Tuesday will not be available for pick-up until the following Thursday. Approximately 10 days from when the order is placed. Orders are only placed on Monday. An item ordered on Sunday would take only 5 days to come in due to the timing of placing the order.
• No orders are taken on Monday’s. However, if you personally contact Michele Luper prior to the placement of the GLS order on Monday morning, special arrangements may be made.
• Order forms are available online for your convenience.
• We carry many vendors in our inventory, however, please check the GLS website: www.glscrip.com for a complete listing of all available vendors.
• Scrip earnings percentages are subject to change. Please understand that we cannot give you any higher percentage than what we actually receive from the vendor.
• If you know you may need a large quantity of an “on hand” vendor please email the scrip hotline by Sunday evening or early Monday morning. This will insure we have proper quantities of “on hand” vendors.
• If there is no Express on a particular day there will be no corresponding pick up.
