Physical Education Curriculum

 

School Wide Goals

 

Students will:

 

·       Develop and appreciation for personal fitness.

Kindergarten Physical Education Curriculum

 

Students will:

·       Balance.

·       Tell the difference between general space awareness and personal space awareness.

·       Show appropriate sportsmanship and sensitivity during activities.

·       Show respect for all students.

·       Exhibit basic dance skills and fundamentals while demonstrating various dance forms.

·       Design an exercise routine to accompany music that emphasizes fitness components.

·       Hit a moving/thrown ball with a bat or a stick.

·       Know and apply the rules of soccer, basketball, football, bowling, and hockey.

·       Identify the differences between anaerobic and aerobic activities.

·       Identify and describe reasons for using proper warm-up, cool-down, stretching, and appropriate attire in a physical activity setting.
