School Goals
Students will:
· Appreciate various artists throughout history and be able to create works using the artist’s style.
· Identify all the Elements of Art and be able to implement correct uses for each element.
· Identify all of the Principles of Art and be able to implement correct uses for each principle.
· Have a strong generalized ability to produce various works of art in many different mediums.
Kindergarten Art Curriculum
Students will:
· Identify and use primary colors
· Identify and use shapes
· Identify and use patterns
· Uses correct control of paint and paint brush
· Demonstrate use of scissors and glue
· Demonstrates correct control of drawing materials
· Show knowledge of clay manipulation

3rd grade Art Curriculum

· Manipulate fibers (threading needles, weaving)

7th grade Art Curriculum
Students will:

8th grade Art Curriculum
Students will:
· Identify various styles of art including nonobjective, realism and sculpture
· Identify and use appropriate scale
· Identify and use complementary colors
· Identify and use one point perspective t o create the illusion of space
· Create original artwork using realistic landscape and abstract
· Create even continuous and graduated tones using pencil or colored pencil
