Kindergarten Technology Curriculum
Students will:
· Identify and correctly use basic hardware computer components
· Use correct basic PC terminology, icons, single left mouse click, desktop, window, mouse cursor, ‘x’ to close a window
· Identify and open icons on the desktop with single left mouse click and ‘enter’ key
· Identify and use basic browser navigational icons and commands, home, links, back arrow, web address
· Apply word processing skills - type first and last names and copy a sentence using correct punctuation and capital letters, blinking cursor, enter, backspace, one space between words and after punctuation
· Keyboarding - use the shift key, identify each letter on the keyboard, correct home row finger placement

Students will:

· Use correct intermediate PC terminology, double left mouse click, maximize, file, save, print
· Identify and open icons on the desktop with double left mouse click key
· Identify and use intermediate browser navigational icons and commands, address box, scroll bars, bookmarks
· Apply word processing skills - type and format sentences using color, center icon, enlarge, and font
· Keyboarding - correct top row and shift key finger placement

· Identify and use intermediate browser navigational icons and commands, address box, scroll bars, bookmarks
· Apply word processing skills - manipulate color, enlarge and change font, underline, bold, italics, align left icon, open, close, save
· Keyboarding - correct top row and shift key finger placement

Third Grade Technology Curriculum
Students will:
· Use correct intermediate PC terminology, minimize
· Identify and open icons on the desktop with right click and choose open
· Identify and use intermediate browser navigational icons and commands, enter a web address save to bookmarks
· Apply word processing skills – word wrap, save vs. save as, open, new, tab key for indenting, bullets, numbering, right click on a photo to copy and paste, use picture toolbar through, spell check
· Keyboarding - correct finger placement for all letters on the keyboard and type at 15 wpm with 80% accuracy

Fourth Grade Technology Curriculum
Students will:

· Desktop Publishing – basic Publisher skills, create a booklet and a greeting card
· Presentation – create a basic slide show presentation
· Keyboarding - type at 20 wpm with 85% accuracy

· Desktop Publishing – intermediate Publisher skills, create a tri-fold brochure
· Presentation – create a slide show presentation with slide transition effects
· Keyboarding - type at 25 wpm with 85% accuracy

Sixth Grade Technology Curriculum
Students will:

· Internet etiquette – copyright, bullying, social networking, emoticons, all caps
· Apply word processing skills – all toolbars, edit photographs (crop, contrast, replace, i.e.), right click and grammar check, practice proper word processing techniques
· Desktop Publishing – intermediate Publisher skills, create a tri-fold brochure
· Presentation – create a slide show presentation with slide transition effects and custom animation and background templates
· Spreadsheet – create a basic spreadsheet with addition formulas, create a graph from data
· Keyboarding - type at 30 wpm with 90% accuracy

Seventh & Eighth Grade
Technology Curriculum
- Develop and Master/Review the major office programs in Office 2010 such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher etc.Students will use multi-skill sets will playing our "Building Homes Of Our Own" program.
